This was an incredibly busy start to the year for me wearing the 2 caps of competitor and organiser of the young horse events which the Toowoomba Dressage Club held. I have already mentioned my results for the competition held on the 1st February in my last report.
On the 21st and 22nd we held the Club's Young Horse Championships and an official dressage event. This attracted big entries and I was very proud to see how well it ran as I organised it as well Elite Warmbloods sponsoring the 5 year old class. I also had a very successful weekend with Elite PrimaDonna placing 2nd in the 4 yr old class and Elite River Run having his first start in medium for a good score of 61% and a 4th placing. I have attached a photograph of PrimaDonna wearing her Prydes saddlecloth at this event.
On the 6th the Hanoverian Society held their show and classification process. Elite PrimaDonna who had already in 2008 been classified as an elite mare candidate successfully completed her mare performance test with good scores and now only needs to produce a foal to be entered in the elite mare register.
On the 8th March we held our open day which was well attended. I had previously sent you an invitation to this. Prydes brochures were on display on the day for interested parties.
On the 24th I judged at the Toowoomba Show dressage.
On the 29th I attended a judges seminar at Caboolture.
On the 30th I was fortunate to catch up with my coach Rozzie Ryan for lessons.
I managed to compete at the Nambour official dressage event on Elite River Run who improved his performance in the medium to gain 7th place with a score of 62.5%.
I judged for the Toowoomba Showjump Club at their event on the 25th where they had record entries. 240 horses were entered for this event and I judged the dressage for the higher level eventers - prenovice, one star and two star.
On the 26th I took Elite Waldo Pepper to a Club dressage day where he performed creditably to pace 2nd and 3rd in his tests.
