Is your area a noted horse district?  If so give details:

Yes, Clevedon is very horsey and it is particularly well known for polo

    Breed(s)/Breeding (pedigree)/Breeder of horses:

They are predominantly TB ex race horses although Hebe and Leo have been purpose bred sport horses

Name the most influential person in your riding career and why:

My husband Alex for his constant support and belief in me

Special highlight(s) in your riding career:

Finishing 2nd in the CIC***W at Kihikihi in 2008 on Opera Groove.  Also finishing 2nd and 3rd in the CIC*** at the KC HOY Show on As You Like It and Opera Groove in 2009.  Winning the Puhinui CCI** way back in 1997 on my “first hack” Templeton

    Describe your first pony:

Dolly was a 16 year old 10.2hh bay mare who we bought off our neighbour for $200.  She was fantastic and served myself, my sister and brother before we on-sold her to some friends aged 20+ years.  She was still going strong at 30!

    Describe your riding history:

I started out through the pony club system and did all the usual things.  I competed at the NZPC Champs in Eventing, Dressage and Show Jumping from aged 10 to 17.  Outside of Pony Club I was originally focused on Show Jumping but when I came off ponies I began to concentrate more on eventing and have pursued a career training and competing eventers since committing full time to riding several years ago.

Do you have any hobbies/other interests?

I don't get much time for anything else!

Describe your most embarrassing (horse related) moment, if any:

Horse of the Year Show 2008 - Opera Groove decided he would rather be anywhere other than the main dressage arena - it was a very embarrassing moment!

Do you have any ‘other' animals?

Two fox terriers Izzy and Abe

    What are your ambitions?

To compete successfully at CCI**** Level and to represent NZ at World Games and Olympics

What do you require from your horse feed?

    Cool, responsive energy

    High energy

    Balanced minerals and vitamins

Energy for work, without exess calories

    Coat condition

    No fuss breeding feeds

    Specific young horse feeds

Which Pryde's feeds do you use and why do you like them?

Primarily I use EasiResult.  All my eventers are on it and have been for many years.  The horses all look and feel great on it, and they love it!  I also use Rebuild for those which need to pick up condition.  My broodmare and young horses get BioMare Cubes and I find this an excellent feed also.

Have you trained or coached any riders who have had success?

Most of the people I coach are young up-and-coming riders who are coming up through the ranks

How will Pryde's Sponsorship make a difference to you?

I am delighted to be sponsored by Pryde's.  With the running costs of competition horses increasing all the time, the support I receive from Pryde's enables me to ensure all my horses nutritional requirements are not compromised.
