Name the most influential person in your riding career and why:

Without a doubt that would have to be my parents.  Their ongoing support has helped me get to where I am today. Of course my coaches must get a mention, as they certainly helped me achieve my goals with their encouragement, compassion, knowledge and experience.

Describe your riding history:

I started riding when I was 7 and joined Pine Rivers Pony Club.  Mum and Dad (non-horse people) bought me a little bay pony that I rode every day.  Over the years I progressed onto other ponies and horses and had weekly lessons with Jim James.  During my early riding years, I competed at pony club gymkhana’s, dressage, showjumping and eventing days.  I was lucky enough to have had some great horses to help shape me into being the rider I am today.  Grey Ghost – all rounder, Dr Mac – Showjumper and Eventer, Monte Carlo – Showjumper and Eventer, Thunder Rolls – Showjumper, Flying High – Showjumper, Grey Mist – Showjumper, Prime Time – Showjumper, Leviathon – Eventer and Samsation – Eventer.  I enjoy riding young horses and most of my horses have been thoroughbreds off the track that I have spent time educating and shaping into the performance horses they are today. My coaches over the years have also been a credit to my riding career.  After my pony club years, I competed regularly at local agricultural shows (showjumping) and more recently have taken to competing regularly in eventing.

What are your ambitions?

Compete at Adelaide International Three Day Event and live a happy and fulfilling life

Have you trained or coached any riders who have had success?

I help other riders whenever I can and it is great to see them getting out there and giving it a go

Special care and management considerations of your horse(s):

The horses are stabled at night to keep them protected from the weather and bats.  They are warmed up and cooled down sufficiently when being worked and after cross country or any gallop work, their legs are iced and poulticed.  Samsation is on a joint supplement to help protect and maintain healthy joints.  The health and wellbeing of my horses is very important to me.  A happy horse means a happy rider/owner.

Which Pryde’s feeds do you use and why do you like them?

Easiride – all round great feed for maintenance without any overheating

EasiResponse – fantastic for giving the horses a bit of extra energy

ReBuild – fantastic for top lines and conditioning

How will Pryde’s Sponsorship make a difference to you?

I take great pride in how my horses look and perform.  Pryde’s assists in both of these ways and I must say, since the horses have been on the Pryde’s range, the results speak for themselves and the horses are happy, healthy, looking fantastic and performing at a high level.
