Name the most influential person in your riding career and why:
Keith Garvey, Phil Rodey Rich Sassella, Pat Parelli, Jeff Petska, John Slack, Andrea Fapani. These people have guided me and shaped my thinking on horsemanship and Reining. They have been an inspiration to me and kept trying to improve.
Describe your riding history:
I saw Reining for the first time in 1977 and decided that that was what I wanted to do. I rodeoed when I was in high school, worked as a jackaroo on a cattle station and started colts. In 1988 I started work as a proffessional horse trainer. In 1990 I worked in the States and learnt a heap. I spent 5 years training and showing Reining Horses in Italy. I have coached many people over the years both here and overseas.
Special highlight(s) in your riding career:
Reserve Reining Australia Futurity Champion in 1993 and 1996. Both horse equalled first in their respective Futurity. Bridle less Reining demo at the 1994 RA Futurity. Fouth place in the Italian open Futurity in a field of 110 horses in 2002, second highest score coming into the finals at the 2003 Italian Futurity. Reserve Futurity Champion at the 1012 RA Futurity.
What are your ambitions?
To compete for Australia at WEG.
Have you trained or coached any riders who have had success?
I've coached quite a few people to State and National titles in Australia and Italy. We work with all level riders from youth to open riders.
Special care and management considerations of your horse(s):
We require feed that can provide the energy requirements of a very physical sport and not heat the horses up. Our horses have to demonstrate a cool, concentrated disposition with extreme athleticism.
Which Pryde's feeds do you use and why do you like them?
We use EasiPerformance, ReBuild, EasiRide Pellets, EasiOil. We have used many different brands over the years but to get the energy we need we ended up having hot horses. Pryde's gives us the energy in a cool package. Our horses have never looked better.
