Name the most influential person in your riding career and why:
Gail Hunter because she is my coach and mother.
Describe your riding history:
My mum sat me on ponies before I could walk, then later joined me up to pony club. Mum is an Australian Champion Showjumper and all my life we traveled to shows nearly every weekend. I started competing in showjumping at age 7 on a wonderful old schoolmaster horse called Otto, who taught me so much. I first represented Australia in 2008 when I was 12, at the FEI world children's showjumping final in Colombia, finishing in 9th place. In 2010 I started riding Midnight Rock (King) and the next year I won leading boy showjumping rider at Sydney Royal and later at Melbourne Royal. In 2012 I won Australian Junior Champion in Melbourne.
Currently I am bases in Ireland with Duffy Sport Horses. I have had some fantastic opportunities here and have had many great results. I have and am continuing to train with some of the most knowledgeable people on the world. I have some exciting young horses I am riding and also a team of older horses.
Special highlight(s) in your riding career:
There have been so many! Winning Australian Junior Champion and representing Australia in Colombia have been the highlights so far, but by far winning a bronze medal at the youth Olympics in Nanjing China is a stand out. It has presented me with many opportunities which I have taken in my grips.
What are your ambitions?
To go to the Olympics and World Equestrian Games.
Special care and management considerations of your horse(s):
Most of my horses are thoroughbreds so they are highly strung and can’t have heating food, but still need the energy to perform.
Which Pryde's feeds do you use and why do you like them?
We use a wide veriety of your feeds but my favourite two are the Bio Mare Cubes because it tends to condition my horses without heating them up. Also, the EasiFeed Pellet 200 because it is full of vitamins and protein necessary for the growing horse.
